Steve and Heather are getting married!

Well today is the big day! Steve and Heather are finally tieing the knot! I so badly wish I could be there, but the doc thought it wouldn't be such a great idea. :( I know Heather is going to make a beautiful bride! I wish you both the best of luck and hope today turns out to be everything you dream of! (Even though a few things will go wrong but in the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter!)

Had my last doc appt on Friday morning. Had another u/s and Baby H is now weighing in at 8lbs 6oz and measuring 39.5 weeks! YIKES, he might be a really really big boy! Doc said he wouldn't be surprised if he only weighs 7lbs though when is he born because u/s are notorious for being off. I am still not dilating but I am 50% effaced. So come on baby! I am so beyond ready to have my little boy here in my arms. I can't wait to see who he is going to look like. Maybe he will be a good mix of us both. But I bet he will look more like Joe than me, we do know that he has Joe toes! haha. And looks like he might have my nose. (Sorry little man)

I am starting to have a few braxton hicks from time to time, but they aren't anything major. Also, I believe a full moon starts on Wednesday. I am so hoping that this old wives tale will come true for us! :)

Fall projects

The beginning stages
Pumpkin centerpiece
Candle holders for each side of the mantle
Candy corn candle holders

Loving this fall weather!

The weather is absolutely amazing lately! It has put me in the mood for decorating and baking, I will post pictures of some of my projects...but haven't started any baking yet.

We had a doc appt on Wednesday...it did not go as well as I had hoped. Everything is looking good, but I did not make any progress! :( No more dilating or effacing. I was very upset about this. But, our little pumpkin is on his own schedule and will be ready when he wants to be!

Now for the survey...

A few maternity pics (33 weeks)

We have progress!

I had my doc appt yesterday (just 5 days after my last) and Baby H is definitely head down! My doc was very very happy about this. Also, I have dilated a fingertip and started to efface! WOW, it's really happening! :) We will be holding our son in our arms in about 28 days!  Also, since he has been measuring a week a head this whole time doc says it is a very good chance that he will come before the 20th. And estimating from the u/s he is weighing in about 7 lbs already! YIKES!! I don't want to give birth to a 10 pounder! haha I am looking forward to next weeks appointment in hopes there is more progress, I am so ready for him to be here!!

Friday I am attending the Newborn Safety and Health class, I am really looking forward to it. They will go over CPR, choking, swaddling, diapering and etc. I wish Joe was able to go with me but he has to work. At least he is a pro at the CPR and what to do if he is choking!

I still need to organize just a few more things in the nursery then it will finally be completely done! I will post pics after it is completed!

Nesting?

I'm not sure if this is considered nesting or not but Saturday night I was determined to clean out the hallway closet and get it all organized. (Mission completed) But now I want to straighten up the laundry room, it just looks like a big ole mess to me and I absolutely can not stand it any longer! I went to Big Lots to purchase a cabinet but of course it was out of stock, but I am going to go back tonight so hopefully it will be in stock now so Joe can get it built for me and I can work on it all day tomorrow since he has to work.  I already have all of the baby's clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, toys and etc cleaned and put away.  So I am just focusing on the rest of the house now.

Today I had a prenatal massage - and oh my it was AMAZING! I could have slept for a few hours if they had let me. I am looking forward to tonight, I am attending my first MOPs (Mothers of preschoolers) meeting at church. It is a group of women that get together to fellowship and participate in different activities with their children. Tonight is more of an informational meeting, so I am excited!!

Long overdue update!

If anyone still even checks this, sorry I have not updated this in a long time! There is way too much to really go over at this point so I will just hit some of the major topics! I am 35w 1 d now, things are chugging right along!

About 2 weeks ago I did spend some time in the L&D, luckily everything checked out good. I hadn't been feeling very well and my blood pressure dropped extremely low. My doc sent me to the hospital just to make sure everything was okay, I was hooked up to the heart monitors and had my blood pressure checked every few minutes. Also, they did 2 different kinds of ultrasounds - regular and a biophysical profile (bpp). On the bpp the baby can score up to an 8, well Baby H scored a 6 because he did not practice breathing on his own, which I was only 33 weeks and they said that can still be too early for him to try. Had to go back in the next day to repeat the u/s, this time he scored an 8! He had the hiccups which counts for breathing on his own! Way to go little man! :) The u/s also showed that he was head down.

Today we had our 35 week appt, everything is still looking good but doc isn't sure if he is still head down or not. We start going every week from now until delivery! Next week we are going to do another u/s to see if he is head down and if he starting to drop or not.

I have now had all of my baby showers, thank you to everyone!! We are so blessed with the amazing people in our lives to help celebrate with us!! I think I have started nesting...I have washed and put away all of his clothes (the closet looks so cute with all his little clothes hanging up) :) I have made room in the spare (which will be his now) bathroom for all of his towels, wash clothes and extra shampoo and soap. We are picking up his mattress tonight, so now I can finally get the crib completely put together. I can't wait to see it with his sheets and etc all put together.

We also celebrated my birthday last week! WOW, I can't believe I am already 28, time sure does go by fast. Baby H got me a really sweet card :) Joe got me my traditional bday donut! Also, he got me a wonderful card and going to get me the birthstone ring I have been wanting for a few months now. We are going to wait to until Baby H makes his arrival just to make sure we don't get the wrong birthstone. I can't wait to get it!! It was a really really good birthday! We went to moms the next day my bday dinner, which was delicious!

Well I think that was all the major news...I will update pictures soon!
